Versus BODY-ALINE:

Similar to inversion tables, these machines stretch & decompress the spine for back pain relief. But this device does nothing to correct the muscle imbalances that cause poor posture, & is therefore not a good long-term solution for curing most back pain. In other words… one can decompress the spine everyday but if postural muscles are not realigned & strengthened along with the decompression, then poor posture will still ensue (& back pain). Spinal decompression is a recommend supplemental therapy to the BODY-ALINE but, ultimately, your time & money are better spent on a product that actually treats the root cause of most back & neck pain. Many have asked the questions: “Do decompression machines work?” and “Does spinal traction work?” This analysis summarizes why, in our opinion, the BODY-ALINE is a better & more effective back pain solution compared to even the best spinal traction therapy devices & decompression machines like the DRX, although they both can work well together.

A Personal Review of DRX 9000 Spinal Decompression Machines from BODY-ALINE Co-Inventor Jason Bowman…

You may have seen this product heavily marketed on radio and TV and justifiably so. The idea of stretching the spine to relieve pressure is valid, & it will provide relief. However, a more complete medical treatment must account for root cause. In this case, you have to ask what is the causing the abnormal compression of your spine that requires it to be decompressed? The answer is spinal misalignment (poor posture). Please reference the quote below, it describes the incredible increase in inter-vertebral pressure that occurs when the spine is curved (flexed) forward. Ultimately, the DRX does nothing to permanently correct poor posture, which means, if you have continue to have poor posture – without correcting it, you will continue to expose your spine to the incredible stresses (described below). Without permanent posture correction, you will have to be committed to expensive spinal decompression treatments for the rest of your life – until you start treating root cause. The BODY-ALINE treats root cause.

In the original studies, a pressure transducer (or gauge that reads the internal pressure of the disc) was placed into the L3-L4 disc. This pressure increased to 200% of the individual’s body weight during sitting, standing with 20 degrees of flexion, or forward bending (poor posture)
