SERTA MATTRESS CONS:

> Expensive
> Increase comfort during use which temporarily relieves pain but doesn’t address what’s causing pain in the first place

There doesn’t appear to be one type of mattress that’s best for people with back pain. It’s probably a matter of what feels most comfortable to you.

Versus BODY-ALINE:

Serta Mattresses, along with other types & forms of bedding designed to enhance user comfort, are superior to traditional bedding in terms of comfort because they contour to the specific shape of your body to relieve pressure & stress points. However, if your back pain is like most peoples & stems from spinal misalignment (poor posture), these types of beds do nothing to permanently correct your posture. Unlike Serta mattresses, the BODY-ALINE re-balances your postural muscles to permanently restore good posture, which will eliminate back pain throughout your entire day, as opposed to just while your resting. If a Serta mattress enhances your comfort level while using it then, by all means, do so, but don’t expect it to permanently cure your back pain. It is just a temporary way to relieve a symptom of back pain while resting, but don’t expect it to cure your back pain when you’re not using it. Many have asked the questions: “Do mattress toppers help back pain?” and “Does memory foam help back pain?”. This analysis summarizes why, in our opinion, the BODY-ALINE is a better overall solution for most chronic back pain, compared to to even the best mattresses for back pain, which Serta is.

A Personal Review of Serta Mattresses for Back Pain from BODY-ALINE Co-Inventor Jason Bowman…

It may not be a Serta but I own a memory foam mattress & I’ll never sleep on anything else. I love how the memory foam contours to my body & it not only seems that I sleep better, but I fall asleep faster. I’m a big fan of ultra comfort bedding. However, if you’ve got poor posture these types of beds won’t fix it. I recommend Serta type mattresses to be used in conjunction with your BODY-ALINE. It’s a great combination that I use myself.

To start, the mattress needs to support your body in a neutral position, one in which your spine has a nice curvature and your buttocks, heels, shoulders, and head are supported in proper alignment. If the mattress is too firm, it will push on those main pressure points and take you out of alignment, if it’s too soft, those pressure points won’t be properly supported, so your whole body flops back. Both of these scenarios can lead to an achy morning
